Today I had the privilege of interviewing one of the sweetest merchants I have been lucky to meet!
Q:Can you please tell me about your shop?
A: Well, it started off as a place for my real life photography to become second life art.... but then it began to... change *laughs* I used to have a little of this, a little of that... which is why I changed the name to Mishmash Fusion.... but mainly it's become a clothing store for ladies, because... well, I'm a lady and I wear clothes! I still like turning out the odd home item or art piece now and then, but. I'm behind *she smiles and takes a breath*
I still like turning out the odd home item or art piece now and then, but. I'm behind *flashes another charming smile* Q):The name Mishmash Fusion.. its very unique how did you come up with that? A: hehe well I liked the mishmash part because of the random stuff I was making.... but I think there was already a store called JUST mishmash and I wanted something different so I thought about it and I use a mixture of templates, my own textures and those from others more talented than I, so the fusion part seemed to fit! Also I call my group members the nuclei, because I do what I do for them as well as myself, and that fit with the whole sciencey fusion bit haha Q:You mentioned previously that you do photography? what sort do you do? A: Well mostly I do scenery, animals, city and sea scapes.... rarely people, although I have done weddings and families in the past... I'm more comfortable with the non human elements in photography. People scare me *laughs and gives a sheepish grin*+ But I love photography and practically live behind my camera if I can, Q: what is the inspiration behind your clothing? A: Well, I make what I like, but also what my friends like.... I made full on HUDed "Jedi" robes for a couple of them, that I STILL haven't released *laughs* I'm a very modest person, but I love creating things that are a little bit daring, a little attention getting even a little revealing at times. I love the reactions of my group members and friends when I do. My next release is actually a harness top and a short skirt. That got some looks from the people who saw me creating it! I like to think I make what I like.... not stuck in one "genre" of clothing. I really tend toward dresses though *pauses* Like REALLY tend toward dresses *cracks up*
Q): what possessed you to make so many outfits for the current twisted hunt? they are all equilly high quality and the work must have been exhausted! A: Wow, yeah I made SO much.. I love Twisted.... it's such an adventure beyond the hunt for free stuff... and I get REALLY into it. This time was a bit different, because Myst Cobalt came to me about teaming up on a side hunt with these different rooms themed in a different type of divination. I LOVED that idea and we figured a gift for each theme would be awesome... so out of my main hunt gift came all these extras for guys and the ladies.... all coordinating with Rad Designz nails. I really loved partnering and making our gifts work together so it was so much fun to create the outfits based off, for example, white horses in a clearing, birds in flight, candle flames and water scrying. It was a challenge and it was so much fun to put together.... I just couldn't help myself *laughs* Q: what do you hope for in the future of your shop and your designs? A: Wow. That's a good question. I never got into designing to make money... I mean that takes so much more effort than I can put INTO it... Really I appreciate it when people like what I create... it's an honor to hear that. and in the future I just want to keep making things I like and hopefully other people like too! With SL changing all the time, sometimes it can be hard to keep up... I mean... all these mesh bodies! WOW... but if I can keep making things people appreciate and like, then I feel like I'm a success. So, Hopefully there will be a lot of that in the future
And there you have it dear readers. A very deep look into one of the sweetest and fun designers in second life. its definitely worth checking out her main shop HERE or her outlet HERE
